In Lecture 11, we look at the issue of sickle cell in schools. We take a critical look at work on silent strokes and school performance, and document the lack of support for young people with CSD in early 21st Century England. Given the dauting range of pressures on teachers, a whole school policy to support students with SCD is proposed, one capable of being adapted for use in other countries.
